Benefits of Information Systems

As a new academic institution, the National University of Kaohsiung has been dedicating her efforts to develop the school administrative information system since the preparatory phase of establishment, i.e. many school affairs systems are originally designed to be operated on line. Therefore, it is impossible to make a comparison between the traditional man-made operation and the on-line information system in terms of man-power reduction, operation time reduction, spending saving, administrative efficiency increase, service quality promotion and information management enhancement. However, it is obviously that the numbers of administrative staff, teaching staff, students, and case-intake have been greatly reduced since the preparatory phase of establishment by an analysis of man-power reduction after the introduction to on-line information system is conducted.
